It was about 11 am in the morning ...
You were having your yogurt and juice in bed. Mom was spoon – feeding You some cereal. You had the tub of yogurt in one hand and a teaspoon in the other, so your hands were full.
In fact, You did not want the cereal, but Mom was making You eat it. When You finished, she brought the tray down to the kitchen. She came up to the room a few minutes later, and was pleasantly surprised to see You up and about.
You said, “I went to the bathroom just now like normal, and got up like normal. No head rush. I feel normal. I think I can walk to the grotto today.”
Mom clapped her hands. Like a child.
You will never know how happy your mother felt hearing that line. You began to choose your clothes from the suitcase.
Today, You wanted to wear your orange and brown stripe tee - shirt. You brought it out and laid it on the bed. Mom asked if You wanted your blue jeans.
You said, “No, it doesn’t match ... must wear something matching ...”
So, You picked up your long brown pants and laid that below the orange - brown tee. You stood back to admire your outfit for the day.
Mom watched You.
It was so good to see You standing and fussing over your clothes. Like normal.
You said with good humor that You wanted to look nice for Mother Mary. This is your third date with Her, You announced with child-like enthusiasm.
Mom was sure Mother Mary was smiling at that line.
