Day 13 in Lourdes
NOVENA DAY 5
This morning, You had a tub of peach yoghurt and a freshly baked croissant with creamy butter and strawberry jam in bed. You were hmm - ing loudly as You chomp on your croissant with child-like pleasure.
You seemed to have a bright sparkle in your eyes today. Not as sleepy and weary as the day before. After licking your spoon clean of every trace of yoghurt, You lazed around in bed, and said You did not want to get up just yet.
You stretched tall on the bed, let out a lazy yawn, brought your hands up behind your head, and crossed your long legs together. Seeing You in such a relaxed mood, Mom did not want to rush You to get up. We decided then to go for the afternoon bath session at 2 pm instead.
At 12 noon, Mom went to the kitchen to prepare some lunch for You.
Aunt Laura has kindly allowed Mom to use her kitchen. We had gone to Carrefour the evening before and got some groceries including brown rice, fish and some vegetables.
Halfway cooking, You popped your head through the kitchen door and asked, "Can I help?"
Mom turned, and was quite taken aback with surprise when she saw You standing at the doorway, in your pink tee shirt and blue jeans.
Could she trust her eyes?
