Dear Daniel,
After 16 years, Dad and Mom visited Lourdes.
We went for our Europe trip on September 23 - October 14, 2025.
We arrived in Paris, and took the night train to Lourdes.
It was just amazing how your spirit lives on, Daniel.
Dad and Mom were not expecting anything, to be totally honest.
It has taken us 16 years to be ready to visit Mother Mary at her Grotto again.
On the last day of our time in Lourdes with you in 2009, Mom had mentioned to the Priest in the confession box, that your family will continue to bring you to Lourdes every year.
The Father had interrupted Mom, and said instead, to ...
"wait for our Lady to invite you."
Well, that invitation came 16 years later.
The perfect time for Dad and Mom, according to Mother Mary.
Everything went so smoothly, it was unbelievable.
How surprised were your parents when you made your presence felt ...
every
single
day.
In Lourdes.
And throughout our trip thereafter.

Your spirit lives on.
Thank you, Jesus and Mama Mary.
Because of Jesus' resurrection, you ... we ... cannot die but will live forever.
On Thursday, January 21, 2010, the angels summoned your family to your room.
You were on the bed, propped up by some pillows.
You had been in and out of consciousness since we returned from the hospital earlier that week, on Sunday.
Your last hospital visit.
Thankfully, you were not in pain.
You were merely in deep sleep most of the time in the next 4 days.
We said the rosary.
Right after we completed the 5th decade, Jesus carried you home.
It rings true ...
so true ...
that Mother Mary is by our side at the hour of our death.
That explains also how Aunty Jessie's father-in-law, a few days before his passing, had said he wanted a rosary.
When Aunty Jessie gave him one, he tried to put it over his head.
He was Jewish.
Still, it's clear.
We all need our heavenly mother, no matter what we say or do.
At the end of the day, we are comforted with the presence and protection of our beloved Mama Mary.
At the hour of our death.
Mother Mary was surely by your side.
Together with Jesus, you were carried up to your new home in God's Kingdom.
God has been gracious, and have allowed you to communicate with Mom, on a daily basis since your farewell day.
You are always with your family.
We feel your presence with us and your intervention.
Your whispers.
Your nudges.
Our trip to Europe, especially to Lourdes, was especially special.
Everything was just like a dream.
Surreal.
We love you, Daniel, and we miss you very much.
